“Life is a journey, not a destination.”  Ralph Waldo Emerson

Life doesn’t always unfold the way we expect, and my story is no exception. My path has taken me from my hometown of Waterloo, Ontario, to Vancouver Island. Along the way I’ve experienced both challenge and growth, pain and transformation—moments that have shaped not only who I am, but how I support others. I understand how isolating life transitions, loss, and uncertainty can feel because I’ve lived through it myself.

I began my professional life as a certified teacher, working in both private and public sectors. During this time, my passion for travel led me to pursue a part-time career in aviation, which has spanned over 20 years. Wanting to support people on a deeper level, I returned to graduate school with a focus on mental health and addictions. While completing my studies, I volunteered at a crisis line, offering support to individuals during some of their most difficult moments. I later worked in a public detox facility and in supportive mental health housing, helping individuals navigate recovery and rebuild their lives. After relocating to Qualicum Beach, I transitioned into hospice care, where I facilitated bereavement groups and provided one-on-one grief support. Sitting alongside people through loss and life’s most vulnerable moments has been some of the most meaningful work of my life.

These experiences have shown me that even in the most difficult times, healing and change is possible. My private practice has been inspired by my teachers, my growth, and the souls who have occupied my life. My intention is to offer a space where you can slow down, feel supported, and begin to find your way forward at a pace that feels right for you.

I now happily reside in Qualicum Beach, BC alongside my partner and our young adult daughter. Taking full advantage of my surroundings, I enjoy paddle boarding, hiking, travelling, and spending meaningful time with my family and friends.

Let’s Begin

Change doesn’t happen all at once. It often begins with a single step: a conversation, a moment of honesty, a willingness to be supported.

If something in my approach resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can create a space where you feel seen, understood, and gently supported as you move toward healing, clarity, and a life that feels more like your own.
